About Me
I’m Anna Patricia, a school counselor turned clinical therapist who has spent the last decade serving communities throughout the Midwest. After earning my Counseling MA from the University of Arizona, I returned home to Minnesota with a commitment to support the young people, families, and educators who shaped my own childhood. Since then, I’ve worked across both school and clinical settings as a Licensed School Counselor, Equity Specialist, Adolescent Day Treatment Psychotherapist, Systemic Family Therapist, and Outpatient Therapist.
Much of my work has been rooted in educational equity and culturally responsive care. In Minnesota school districts, I championed inclusive practices by serving on Building Leadership Teams, leading equity committees, guiding MTSS structures, and training staff on culture and mental health. Clinically, I hold an LPCC in Minnesota and an LPC in Wisconsin, with specialized training in Systemic Family Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Across roles, one truth became unavoidably clear: too many individuals are told that their struggles “aren’t bad enough” to access support.
This gap between early signs of distress and qualifying for higher levels of care has shaped my entire philosophy. Insurance limitations, diagnostic thresholds, and systemic barriers often leave students, families, and working adults waiting until symptoms escalate across school, work, home, or physical health. I created Consider It Wellness to interrupt that cycle. My services exist to offer proactive support, accessible tools, and culturally grounded care before life becomes unmanageable.
A New Chapter
After ten years of counseling in the Midwest, my family is moving to the Philippines. This transition means Consider It Wellness will shift entirely to virtual services, allowing me to continue supporting clients across time zones while expanding access through new, free offerings.
Beginning in 2026, Consider It Wellness will evolve into two branches:
1. Virtual Mental Health Support
Tiered, culturally responsive services that offer coaching, consulting, bibliotherapy sessions, and skills-based support for individuals who may not need, or may not yet qualify for formal clinical care.
2. Bookish Bibliotherapy Resources
Because stories heal, I’ll be expanding free bibliotherapy content, themed reading lists, and reflective tools for readers seeking emotional growth through books.
My bibliotherapy workbook Subtext will remain available on Amazon internationally, while The Subtext Journal and Lumpia Takes a Look will be available in the U.S. until February 15, 2026.
Through every chapter of this work, my purpose remains the same: to meet people where they are, honor their cultural origins, and offer supportive, accessible paths toward wellness.
Whether through virtual sessions, the Subtext workbook, or through the stories that move us, I invite you to take a look and…
Consider your own wellness.
